In the Novosibirsk Museum of Art opened the door to the "Different Dimension". Today, they launched the 4th International Festival of Contemporary Photography. On several floors of the museum housed more than 300 works made by authors from different countries. Organizers say that except for a few projects in Moscow, "Different Dimension" - the only large-scale exhibition of contemporary photography, taking place in Russia on a regular basis.

Festival of contemporary photography "Different Dimension" held in Novosibirsk, once every two years. Each time the curators try to acquaint the public with interesting authors as to the West and the East. At the same time at the festival is usually a few works of Russian photographers, who are already exhibited in the country. At this time one of the halls of the museum took a series of Petersburger Andrew Chezhina "Transparent dreams." But the symbolic persona of the "Different Dimension 2012" can be called an American photographer Roger Ballen.

Roger Ballen has lived 30 years in South Africa. In Novosibirsk brought him a retrospective exhibition Shedoulend. This is - a journey into the unknown to us a world where human relationships are not like us in the familiar. Where there is a century, the so-called "black racism", and very different ideas about the rights of the white man. Roger for several years rented in a house with many rooms, watching the life and death over its inhabitants. However, his work - metaphorical, they go far beyond documentary photography. The same can be said about the extensive exposure photographers from Hong Kong, which was first brought to Russia.

But these pictures you can see how the Hong Kong. Until 1997 it was under British protectorate, after received the status of autonomy within the People's Republic of China. For authors it is important to understanding what happened, self-identification. Therefore, no postcard exhibition of Hong Kong. But there is a reflection of the pressure on the town common man, individuality, personality, and the removal of many other problems. Just a festival attended by dozens of authors. Besides Russia, the United States and China, they are Austria, Belgium, Italy, Taiwan and Japan. Some photographers personally came to Novosibirsk for the opening of the exhibition.

香港攝影師在外展示的一個展覽，這次遠在新西伯利亞州立美術館。這屆的大會主題是《Different Dimension》，主題海報大都是以俄文書寫，陌生而有趣的異國情調。香港部分的策展人是朱德華，這是他預備的背景資料文字，大家可以從中瞭解這展覽的情況。如果剛好你也在展覽地方的路途上，你還有充裕的時間趕上觀看。

第四屆「當代國際攝影節 ﹣不同面向」即將於俄羅斯新西伯利亞州立美術館 Novosibirsk State Art Museum, Russia； 蒙主辦機構的邀請，香港是第一次以聯展形式，獲邀出訪俄羅斯的國際攝影活動，與來自世界各地的藝術家及藝術團體交流，並向他們介紹當代香港攝影藝術的發展情况，展期是5月17日至6月17日。

香港聯展主題ON HONG KONG。

策展人朱德華相信俄羅斯對香港認識不多。在全球一體化效應下， 高消費模式和高樓價齊步並進，香港跟亞洲其他城市一樣，已經發展成一個大都市；九七年香港以特別行政區身份回歸祖國，九七年後在社會經濟的轉型下， 香港的生活文化和社會的意識形態，相應地亦起了變化。因此根據目前城市的現象，啟示出用ON HONG KONG為聯展部份的主題，藉著攝影家的作品，令俄羅斯的人民能認識香港文化及香港當代藝術攝影的發展。

獲邀請的十位攝影家，當中包括梁志和、蘇慶強、王禾璧、馮建中、尹子聰、黃淑琪、吳文正、朱德華、李志芳、岑允逸。他們是近二十年來香港藝術攝影發展的代表， 當中涉及香港的題材的作品，均帶著各位攝影家在香港生活的個人感受，對城市的變遷及社會不同層面的關注和情感， 他們的作品各有特色，風格異㢠。

香港資深藝術和攝影評論家黃啟裕認為ON HONG KONG的作品可劃定為四類：懷舊的、異國情調的、精神分裂的和虛構的。

懷舊情懷的作品有吳文正的〈香港老店〉、王禾璧〈生活中的瑰寶〉和蘇慶強〈南華地誌〉，香港和中國大陸快速的城市重建和發展令經濟和社會產生鉅變，老商店和殖民時期建築的命運岌岌可危，中國農村的生活條件也處於動盪之中。

而異國情調的有朱德華〈遊行〉和岑允逸〈都唔係廸士尼〉，他們的作品解讀了一個攝影理論Architourism (旅遊建築)，暴露了對勢在必行的架構的疏離，及揭示對中國當代城市如香港、北京和中國南方城市景緻的奇觀。

精神分裂的算是馮建中〈樓花〉和尹子聰〈城市 ﹣亮〉的作品，那令人不安的多重暴光處理手法，與挪威表現主義畫家愛德華·蒙克的作品《吶喊》(1983年)互相呼應。

虛構的作品有 李志芳〈Look〉和梁志和〈彩色系列〉，那是他們對自己所處的城市的個人札記；黃淑琪〈Collector〉以女性詩意的眼光描繪我們內心的深處，在模糊明暗對比的記錄間得到靈魂上的安息。

據朱德華了解：「俄羅斯擁有深厚的歷史文化背景，卻因政治因素，近十多二十年才對外開放。 近年俄羅斯對亞洲文化特別好奇，如香港、台灣、日本、韓國等發展完善的國家地區。我期望俄羅斯新西伯利亞是首站，日後亦希望能把香港的藝術攝影推廣至莫斯科及聖彼得堡等重要城市 。」
